I had been searching for a better way for the boys to have all of the items that they will need to do their homework in one central location and not have to deal with fighting. So during a search I found a bunch of tips from people who mentioned the Homework Box. I gathered up all of our back to school supplies that I bought from Target and got a photo box from Michaels and added all of the items there.
This way, each (school-aged) boy has his own box and will have everything he will need to do his homework.
Items in the box:
Crayons
Markers
Pencils
Colored Pencils
Glue Stick
Glue
Erasers
Safety Scissors
Ruler
For items they may need but will not fit into the box, I have a 3 drawer craft box that I bought from Wal-Mart years ago where I have the "extras".
That box includes:
Construction Paper
Stapler
Washable Paints
Index Cards
Tape
Pencil Sharpener
also extra:
Crayons
Glue
Glue Sticks
Pencils
Erasers

Medicine Cabinet Cleanout
Since school is starting back in less than 1 month. I have decided to try and get some things in order to help us start the school year off fresh.
Today I cleaned out our medicine cabinet and got rid of the old (empty) prescription bottles and empty bottles of baby tylenol that I had in there (not sure why we kept so many). I am not sure what to do with the prescription bottles that still have old meds in them but I have heard that you should not throw them in the trash and you should never flush them down the drains, so I will have to check with the pharmacy and see what they say.
Now, I have to just keep up with getting rid of the bottles as soon as they are empty. :)
